Build Your Community Soccer Club
York County AFC will kick off its inaugural season in May 2027.
But the work of building the club is already underway.
We are forming a leadership and volunteer foundation made up of community members who want to help shape the club’s identity, partnerships, culture, and long-term sustainability.
Whether you’re interested in leadership, advisory involvement, or hands-on volunteer work, there is a place for you to contribute.
Explore the opportunities below to find where you fit.
-
The Executive Committee serves as the club’s founding leadership group, working directly with the Chairman to guide York County AFC’s development ahead of our 2027 launch.
This is a working leadership body. Members collaborate on strategy, partnerships, community integration, soccer development planning, and long-term sustainability. The Executive Committee helps shape the structure, culture, and direction of the club before the first match is ever played.
Executive Committee members are expected to contribute consistently, lead initiatives within their focus areas, and work closely with other volunteers and committee members as the organization grows.
As the club evolves, members may take on defined leadership protfolios in areas such as:
Community Engagement
Partnerships & Sustainability
Sporting Development
Operations & Infrastructure
Governance & Administration
Portfolios and responsibilities will continue to evolve alongside the club’s growth. This is an opportunity to help build the foundation of York County’s club from the ground up.
Meeting Cadence: Initially, twice monthly, with active collaboration between meetings.

York County AFC is building a network of community-driven committees made up of volunteers who want to play an active role in bringing the club to life ahead of our inaugural season in 2027.
These groups focus on engagement, outreach, and participation —helping connect the club to the communities across the county while building the culture, partnerships, and presence that will define York County AFC from day one.
Current areas of involvement include:
Community Event & Appearances
Watch Parties & Supporter Gatherings
Youth & Local Club Partnerships

Roles within these committees are intentionally fluid at this stage. Volunteers are encouraged to contribute based on their interests, experience, and availability — while also helping shape how these groups evolve as the club grows.
Whether you’re looking to take on a leadership role within ta focus area or simply wan to support the club’s presence in the community, there are opportunities to get involved at every level.
