Building Toward 2027

York County AFC will move its inaugural season to 2027.

When we were admitted into The League for Clubs, it was with the expectation that a New England based conference would need to be established in order to support a 2026 launch. Meaningful work took place across the region toward that goal. Ultimately, the structure required to support competition did not materialize within the necessary timeline.

This is not the outcome we worked toward, but it is the one we must navigate.

There is disappointment in that. At the same time, the groundwork already laid and the continued conversations taking place give us confidence that a New England conference will take shape for 2027.

For our club, this moment represents a shift in timing, not in intent. Our focus now turns toward continued planning, deeper community engagement, and thoughtful integration across York County as we build toward 2027.

The timeline has changed. Our commitment has not.
